ACATENANGO
OVERNIGHT TOUR

Hike with us for your unforgettable experience!

ACATENANGO – WHAT TO EXPECT?

Join our Balam community and small group tours as we hike the most spectacular trail on Guatemala's third-highest volcano, Acatenango.

The 1.5 days Overnight Tour (see tour details) invites you to explore the geological wonders and unique landscapes of Acatenango and its active twin volcano, Fuego.

Climbing to the summit we will pass through 1,500 m of unique terrain with Fuego only 4 km away, historically the most active volcano in Central America, erupting constantly since 1524.

From the summit of Acatenango you have an incredible view of the highlands and can see the frequent eruptions of Fuego up close.
